Humanitarian Parole

Humanitarian Parole for Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela allows eligible nationals from these countries to enter and stay temporarily for up to two years.
To apply, you must have a sponsor in the U.S. The sponsor does not need to be a direct relative of the beneficiary.
    Who can be a sponsor?
  • U.S. citizens
  • Permanent or temporary residents
  • Asylees, refugees, or deferred action recipients (who are currently in that status, not awaiting a response)
  • TPS or DACA beneficiaries
  • Non-immigrants who can maintain their status
  • Non-profit organizations
Sponsors must prove that they have the financial capacity to support and provide all the assistance to their beneficiary for those 2 years.
    Requirements from the sponsor to prove financial capacity:
  • Legal status, being a citizen or resident or having approved TPS or approved asylum.
  • Letter from the bank, identifying the following account details: Account opening date, amount deposited during the last 12 months, current account balance.
  • Copy of the latest IRS tax return transcript.
  • Letter from employer indicating the following: Employer information, salary paid, and whether the position is temporary or permanent.

Travel Authorization

If you are a beneficiary of Humanitarian Parole, you can request a Travel Authorization to go to your country for any emergency that may arise.

Temporary Protected Status

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a temporary benefit that will allow you to remain in the United States for a limited period of time.
All Venezuelans who entered the United States before July 31, 2023, can apply for TPS and benefit from all the advantages that this status offers.
The registration date for beneficiaries as of July 31, 2023, is that they may apply from October 3, 2023, until April 3, 2025.
Those who already have TPS and want to renew their re-registration must apply between January 10, 2024, and March 10, 2024.
